Giangiorgio Crisponi 463 Posted November 6, 2019 This pelican ( Pelecanus onocrotalus) photographed during landing is the only pelican in Sardinia. Years ago a group of pelicans had the wrong migration route and they stopped in Sardinia for a few weeks where they are not present and then left, only one remained and it is difficult to photograph it. Nikod D500, f / 5.6, 1/1000 sec, ISO 200. Thanks for your comments Link to comment
tai 3 Posted November 6, 2019 A delightful landing moment, Giangiorgio! A marvelous shot, composition, light, colors, funny pose ... Plus, the design of wings and legs is very clearly visible. Hopefully the migrating pelicans make another mistake and land in Sardinia. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 6, 2019 Hi Giangiorgio, what a gorgeous photo of this unique Sardinian pelican landing! I very much like your story about this bird staying on the island when the others left. You have frozen the action, but with slight blurriness in the wings, which accentuates the movement. Good sharpness and colors, well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
