Leslie Reid 5,214 Posted October 2, 2016 Gorgeous and eerie--I love it! The colors are wonderful, and the way the curved line leads me into the abyss is really effective (I think that's where the feeling of eeriness comes from). And putting the extreme foreground out of focus is a masterful touch. One thing you might want to consider would be to do a little bit of editing so that the central receding curve doesn't appear to overlap the "side walls" after it enters the abyss--that's the only element that doesn't support the feeling of depth in the image. I realize it's a transparency issue, but it's still distinct enough to read as a foreground-background issue. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 2, 2016 It looks amazing, my imagination runs riot looking at this. The body cavity of some strange alien creature whose spinal column leads us into the dark depths. The littered corpses of a thousand digested creatures litter the floor.Excellent! Alf Link to comment
Rick Bortnick 2,167 Posted October 3, 2016 Leslie - Thanks for The comments. The overlap ... I see your point. I'll try working on it Alf - I couldn't decide if it was a body cavity or aortic arches of a deamon :) Drew - Thanks, always a pleasure seeing you around Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 3, 2016 Amazing picture, beautiful in an alien way and certainly no place I'd ever want to find myself. Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted October 3, 2016 Rick, what an interesting result you got here with fractal filter,I like me too to use it and play with it,I try to imagine the origin of this shot and as Alf say my mind goes to an inside body skeleton or as you say can be some artery ramification.Pattern result is so attractive and color too.My compliments for this photo. Wayne Sadler 570 Posted October 5, 2016 A most unusual and interesting fractal. (I am assuming a fractal). But the design seems too perfect for a fractal. Whatever, well done, Rick. Link to comment
Rick Bortnick 2,167 Posted October 7, 2016 Wayne- Thanks for the comment, it is a fractal. I know what you mean by it appearing almost to clean. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 10, 2016 Ditto Alf's comments! This image must have been taken of an anatomical structure using an electron microscope . Brilliant work, Rick. Link to comment
