A Mexican campesino following Pancho Villa, well set in its typical territory. Pierre, always glad to see your artistic work , fascinating as ever, ciao Giangiorgio

To me, the figure of Pancho Villa certainly helps to portray Mexico's history. But aside from that story, I find another, that is more interesting. He is about to have a gun fight with General SantaAnna. Given Pancho's greater experience with gun fights, the General doesn't stand a chance. I just wonder whether Pancho will use his machete to chop of a limb one of the saguaros to make tequila to celebrate his victory, Finally as whole the image is quite atmospheric with the dark sand and sky, a full moon, the cacti, and a lizard. - - My best always, michael

Long time no see, Michael! Thank you very much for your precious visit and for your, as always very imaginative comment based on thorough exploration! By the way, tequila isn't made of saguaro cactus, ha! Cheers to that! PDE
