Wayne Sadler 571 Posted July 18, 2022 This threesome or rather foursome merited revisiting. Not sure if it is the allure of the attractively attired two ladies and lone gentleman drinking wine or champagne on the banks of the Seine in Paris or that beautiful vintage vehicle that draws me back to this moment - this morning floating the Seine. Attractive people are not rare but a well preserved vintage "ripple bonnet" Citroën 2CV is rare indeed. (It is difficult to tell in this rendering, but this Citroën does not have the so-called suicide doors.) Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted July 19, 2022 Marvelous! And I do remember spending some time on the banks of the Seine. You captured it well. Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted July 21, 2022 Hi Wayne, it was the 2CV that pulled me into this photo; the hip people next to it add little to the photo in my opinion, they might have been old people too. I remember walking and sitting on the banks of the Seine as well, but it is the 2CV that makes dear memories pop up in my head. You are right, well preserved 2V's are rare these days, mostly because this charmingly simple car was very sensitive to rust. I have owned two of these, one van (with an unbelievable storage space) and one 'normal' specimen like the one in your photo. The car was full of smart technical inventions and very easy to service. Thanks for this beautifully crafted trip down memory lane! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
