Wayne Sadler 591 Posted June 2, 2022 Zen likens the mind to a mirror reflecting everything and asserts that everybody’s mind is different. How one mind reflects objects differs from the way another does. This seems plausible. Where zen dips into the existential is when it claims that anything appearing in our consciousness or seen by our eyes is an illusion, of no enduring reality. So when I saw people stopping and photographing this scene I had just imaged in Central Park I wondered how they were seeing it – what was the nature of their illusion. But I suspected they were not seeing it as I or Monet would illusion. Link to comment
