Wayne Sadler 616 Posted February 1, 2022 While working on this image the term “Dutch Realism” came to mind. An internet search revealed why. Much of what is called Dutch Realism is characterized by a precise realistic style of painting like that of a Willem Koekkoek or a Vermeer. This image started out as a much looser impressionistic piece that somehow morphed into something akin to a painting made with the aid of a camera obscura. How that happened I don’t know, but I really like the work of Koekkoek and Vermeer. Link to comment
