Giangiorgio Crisponi 503 Posted January 21, 2022 The long neck of the flamingo - (Phoenicopterus roseus) - I photographed this flamingo looking for food underwater. The long pink neck, covered with numerous droplets, forms this double curvature, half under the water and half above. Nikon D 300s, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 5.6, 1/3200 sec, ISO 200. michaellinder 16,613 Posted January 21, 2022 Giangiorgio, initially I thought (whimsically, of course) that I was looking at a sea serpent. I wasn't disappointed at all the the subject is a flamingo. Aside from the magnificent color contrast between cool and warm, what fascinated me were the droplets of water on the bird. They're so sharp that I conjectured you used a macro lens. - - My best always, michael - - - Ciao! Link to comment
