Golden rings - ( Phoenicopterus roseus). I photographed at dawn, with the grazing light of the first rays of the sun, these birds that have generated these rings of water with their movements. The shot was made from a hill overlooking the Cagliari lagoon at a distance of about 1 km. Nikon D300s, Sigma super telephoto 300-800, f / 9, 1/2500 sec, ISO 200. Thanks for your comments

Giangiorgio, Tatiana's reference to an interference pattern is spot on. The fact that the two birds differ in appearance and size would seem to confirm this. Once more, you have dazzled us with silhouetted birds (with a few tiny exceptions) against a background of gold. I never tire of viewing such images! - - My best always, michael - - - Ciao!
