Although I suspect that this train was stationary when you shot this, Daniel, the image to me portrays motion. At least, that's how I interpret it. Perhaps it's a case of wishful thinking. But, quite honestly, what had my eyes open wide is the small area of bright light in the bottom left. It's quite puzzling. Initially I thought it came from the other side of the train. Then I thought that, since the center of the wheels and the connecting apparatus is white, the area in question must be explained the same way. As I write this, I remain puzzled, for which I am grateful. - - My best always, michael

A beautiful image that highlights the craftsmanship of these old locomotives, The black and white enhances the lines and shapes of these steel monsters, referring us back to our experience , ciao Giangiorgio

Hi Daniel,

an amazingly detailed study of old machinery from the time things were built to last. The lens flares do not disturb me much, although they indicate a challenging shooting angle and I see some vignetting in the sky which is there for a purpose. B & W was an obvious choice for this image, well seen and executed! Kind regards, Vincent

A well arranged slice of the iron horse. I recently completed a similar perspective of an image of a train but not half as good as this. Excellent work, Daniel.
