jekamobile 110 Posted August 17, 2021 Thank you, Giangiorgio, for your interest and comment. I spent a couple of nights catching meteors in the sky while taking photos of the Milky Way. Link to comment
jekamobile 110 Posted August 17, 2021 Hi, Wayne. Thank you for your interest. Yes, there is some additional device was involved. I used a star tracker to get a cleaner sky look. Link to comment
Todd Kraenzel 1 Posted August 18, 2021 Well done! The meteor is perfectly positioned. It makes me want to go out and give this a try. Warmest regards, Todd Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 18, 2021 Hi Evgeny, this photo is phenomenal and technically beyond what I know abot night photography. The richness of stars and the meteor going to the center of the galaxy is simply amazing and you have captured it wonderfully. I don't understand exactly what a 'star tracker' does, but it paid off. What I like most about this image is the composition; as always, even in these very uncommon circumstances, you have captured the scene with a clear sense of composition. Bravo! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
jekamobile 110 Posted August 19, 2021 Hi, Vincent. Thank you for your opinion and interest. Star tracker is a device mounted on a tripod and specially positioned against Polaris. Its head spinning at the same speed as Earth speed making stars still. As a result, you have no limits for exposure time. It is totally different league of photography. I look forward to mastering this part. Link to comment
