Wayne Sadler 571 Posted August 10, 2021 I guess grabbing this image of the Manhattan Bridge in New York in a wild taxi ride to the airport (like all taxi rides in NY aren’t wild) qualifies as guerilla photography – it was a sudden recognition that I had a unique perspective and a split second to “decide” the image. mickeysimpson 2,940 Posted August 11, 2021 Hi Wayne. This is yet another inspiring and fantastic piece of art. Great color, intersecting lines, and a =n impressionist look. I hope to be able to achieve the level of artistry you have mastered. Best wishes my friend! - Mick Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 11, 2021 You've given the Manhattan Bridge and its surroundings a great deal of majesty, Wayne. The image's composition also affords us a view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Somehow, although I can't explain this, I feel that you simply had to use blue toning. Moreover, your brush technique(s) provided quite an interesting sky. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
patrickcompagnucci 30 Posted August 12, 2021 Great image Wayne, and I love the blue tone, which really captures the character of the existing bridge. For me, It always seemed to have a bit of a depressing blue gray cast to it. Regards, Patrick Link to comment
Todd Kraenzel 1 Posted August 12, 2021 Wayne, I totally agree with the others that the blue tones really make this a terrific image! Very nice work. Todd Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 571 Posted August 12, 2021 Thanks, Patrick. Sounds like you know well the New York sky. It nearly caused me to give up on this image. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 571 Posted August 12, 2021 Thanks, Michael. This started life as a typical grey NY sky. It drifted towards blue while trying to give the sky some interest. Link to comment
peter.s 0 Posted May 31, 2022 Wayne - I'm really enjoying your Manhattan gallery. And had a big chuckle over "geurilla photography". Too true! Best wishes. Link to comment
