Wayne Sadler 745 Posted May 31, 2021 On the grounds of the Louvre a young couple approached me and asked how much would I charge to take their picture. I was a little puzzled but given I was the only one that day with a tripod maybe it made sense. With their limited english and my nonexistent slavic language facility somehow we managed the exchange of email addresses and the agreement to send them photos at no charge. A lovely couple but I found this scene in the background more interesting as a “painting”. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,614 Posted June 1, 2021 Sadly, Wayne, the Louvre was first on my list when I was going to be in Paris for a few days in early March, 2020. Thanks for giving me a slight glimpse of it. This image clearly provides me with a idea of the throng with which I would have dealt. Also, I found the faces of the two women in the foreground to be slightly distorted; to me this is a brilliant touch. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 457 Posted June 2, 2021 An interesting story and a piece of impressionistic art very well done, Wayne! My sincere compliments! Cheers! PDE Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 745 Posted June 2, 2021 Thanks, Michael. I usually try to transform, distort, disguise people in my images. I want their forms and body language but not their identities. Link to comment
bruckner 621 Posted June 3, 2021 Like the contrasting link fence in the foreground, it unites this composition with the darker subjects in the background, well done and presented. Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted June 4, 2021 Marvelous artwork. Perhaps the Louvre wants to display it!!!! Link to comment
