La Barigoule

I've mentioned this restaurant before, as it is truly mind blowing. I hope it still exists. This is a restaurant where all the emphasis is on the food, the ambiance is of less importance. Table cloths are plastic, chairs are garden furniture. But the food is exquisite and the prices are almost ridiculously low. Maybe this is the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. Your comments are very welcome.

Vincent, what an excellent find. You captured the essence of what it's like to eat in such a dark environment, especially due to the lighting. If not for the the 3 sources of illumination, the patrons would be eating in complete darkness. The colors present themselves as companions to the lamps. how good of you to remember that picture upload with the mention of this little restaurant in it! You are absolutely right, it is Dieulefit. This is the restaurant itself, in late evening mood. I had to wait for the moment that the background and the restaurant came close to each other in luminosity in order to get this shot. thank you for these very nice comments! I hope you will be able to enjoy a visit to Provence and Tuscany in full freedom soon. Yes, I'm still using my E-520 and E-620 from time to time, but I'm seriously considering selling my Olympus gear as I'm saving up for the EOS R-5. It will be hard parting from photo gear that served me so well and rendered colors so beautifully. Kind regards, Vincent
