Giangiorgio Crisponi 500 Posted June 18, 2020 Symmetry (Phoenicopterus roseus). I photographed these two flamingos at dawn, they seemed to want to attack, instead they ignored each other and continued the path keeping a perfect symmetry. Nikon D850, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f5.8, 1 / 1600sec, ISO 1000. Thanks for your comments. Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted June 18, 2020 Giangiorgio, the subject is not a pair of flamingos; it is a push-me-pull-you (a mythological creature, in case you're unfamiliar with the name). You clicked the shutter at exactly the right nanosecond; if you were off by that interval, you wouldn't have achieved the symmetrical effect. The image portrays both the color and feathers patterns of these birds in a spectacular way. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 307 Posted June 18, 2020 I can only imagine how much waiting for such scene to be awaited, how much speed of reaction it takes, Giangiorgio, but, it sure is a masterpiece! Complimneti mio caro amico! PDE Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted June 20, 2020 Hi Giangiorgio, at first glance I thought this was a mirrored image, but clicking on the thumbnail immediately proved the opposite. A beautiful 'ships that pass in the night' -kind of image, showing symmetry even in the background. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted July 13, 2020 I do not know how I could have possibly missed this work of art. The more my thoughts demand to make praising comments, the more I believe it is better that silence may "say" a quiet "something" about Nature's exquisiteness, and your high dexterity in capturing the indescribable. Congratulations. DG Link to comment
