Flamingo shaking off water . I photographed at the first light of dawn this flamingo ( Phoenicopterus roseus) with a tense neck that shakes the water from its head. Nikon D 850, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 5,6, 1 / 1600sec, ISO 250. Thanks for your comments

The high shutter speed froze the moment, and the flamingo is nicely highlighted with the dark background, ciao Sandor

Amazing picture and moment, Giangiorgio! Funny expressive pose! It seems like this flamingo is interested in something and wants to see it more carefully. Delight! Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

Unique and most impressive photo! Looks as it was flash lit, but it isn't likely since a supertele lens you indicate was used! Strange! However, great shot we have here! Compolimenti, Giangiorgio! PDE

Hi Giangiorgio,

a wonderful image that features the flamingo in an everyday act that makes your capture even greater; the very dark background is ideal for the subtle and detailed parts of the photo where the 'action' takes place, showing both the movement and the water drops that are the result of it. Deep colors, great composition, the right moment, well-exposed. Very well done! Kind regards, Vincent
