Giangiorgio Crisponi 651 Posted April 9, 2019 Sardinian spring In the background a typical Sardinian Nuraghe, a megalithic construction of about 3500 years ago, surrounded by a flock of jackdaws (Corvus monedula), in the foreground a flowering tree of wild pears. The surface of the nuraghe has a red color due to the lichens that cover it. In Sardinia there are about 7000 nuraghi built overlapping large boulders without the use of mortar, among the largest there is the nuraghe of Barumini well described on the internet. frigo 4,155 Posted April 10, 2019 Giangiorgio....Choice scene and your timing to seize it when the flock of birds had given themselves a rendez-vous for an aerial view makes for a superb image.Bravo et salutations-Laurent Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted April 10, 2019 Giangiorgio, first I'll note my agreement with the previous comments. In addition, the image composition and perspective make the Nuraghe even more dramatic, as if it's king of the mountain, so to speak. I'm also enchanted by how the birds are flying in somewhat of an elliptical pattern. This could be due to the presence of insects which are part of their normal diet. Bravissimo! - - Ciao, michael Link to comment
