Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 13, 2019 Wonderful, Pierre, a no-nonsense patriarch. I think this is you portraying your own father. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted January 13, 2019 Original beautiful self-portrait, Pierre! The first time I see you "with a tie". I guess the official attributes could be borrowed from another image. In any case, this trick with the imposition of texture softens the image "with a tie" and adds a bit of ironic overtones. Well done! Congratulations! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 280 Posted January 13, 2019 Thank you, Jack! You may be right about my father thing, he used to be "tied and costumed", me never! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment

michaellinder 16,612 Posted January 15, 2019 Pierre, my apologies for being rather late. This self-portrait gives me the impression that, aside from your role as master photographer, you also taught at a university (probably literature or philosophy). You have a distinguished, yet intense, look. Clearly this is not an ordinary portrait. To me, it appears as if you overlaid a multicolored, textured background over the original image. In my opinion, the result is a photograph that has the distinctive look of having been taken with an antique camera. Most definitely a favorite!! - - My best always, michael Link to comment
