Giangiorgio Crisponi 749 Posted August 28, 2017 Flamingo on landing - (Phoenicopterus ruber) The oblique light of the first sun at dawn, highlights the trails left by the landing flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber). The photo was taken from a hill overlooking the lagoon of Cagliari at the distance of about one kilometer. Thanks for your comments Nikon D500, Sigma supertelephoto 300-800mm, f5,6, 1/1250 sec, ISO 100, WB tungsten
Greg Pichnej 0 Posted September 2, 2017 Hello GC, I can't seem to figure out how to comment on your entire collection of posted photographs with the "new" PhotNet portfolio web page. Your entire portfolio of wonderful captures are an inspiration. You don't need me or anyone else to state the obvious but it never hurts to have others confirm the success of all your creative efforts. I chose this shot because, again, I have to learn how to leave a comment on your total postings. Regards, Greg
Giangiorgio Crisponi 749 Posted September 2, 2017 Greg thank you for the visit and for your appreciated comment. Photo.net is a great opportunity to confront and to draw inspiration from the work of so many good photographers from all over the world. I have also definitely improved the techniques of composition, lighting and post production by observing the work of other photographers and their advice. I will return to see your new entries. Ciao Giangiorgio

I can see why you never seem to get tired of photographing flamingos. They create so many beautiful patterns in their everyday lives!! Bravo!!
