setsail728 15 Posted December 23, 2015 When I first viewed the thumbnail of this photo, Degas leaped to the front of my mind. I see the full photo isn't by that genius, but I still get the same feeling. Wonderful shot!! bravo! Link to comment

GerrySiegel 868 Posted December 24, 2015 I admire this one greatly. My only small and very tentative comment is this,-- and I cannot justify -- reaction which prompts the thought, is the wish that the background did not fall off to a grayer and lighter tone in the bottom against her limbs. For me, just me, I emphasize, It loses a tiny bit in that contrast effect...Yes, highly personal reaction, hard to justify or demonstrate unless it was altered to make it darker---Which I sure do NOT recommend. Perhaps the lower limbs of the dancer are less "grounded," Is that what it is? . A small comment or thought indeed for a fine work... Profile and stance does have the Degas look, full of harmonious color. Sorry I do not rate, but this is quality workmanship of yours, Ken. Your lighting choice sets off her dancer form so well and the whole is a fine photo achievement. One I admire and wish I did it:-). I wish you wel, Ken,l and a happy holiday and fulfilling new year.
