Wow, this is really beautiful Warren! One of your best shots ever I think!! It is such a serene image, lovely reflections...just love it. You really should frame this one! Tops in my book!!

Warren, I like this image very much. Still, I feel it could be stronger if the horizon were offset a bit higher or lower in the image. I don't know if the visible sky could have been made more blue, or not, but that would have added a bit of punch. Is there one particular element that was your intended primary subject? The willow feels like it could be, but it does not stand out from the other trees enough to make an unambiguous statement. Overall, the feeling conveyed is very serene, but somewhat static, anchored by the tallest tree being centered perfectly in the photo. Now, how do I get a view like this out my back window? It is truly beautiful.

David,

Thanks for your observations. Frankly, when I looked out my window that morning, I reached for my camera (never far away) and ran out onto my back deck, still in my pajamas! I just wanted to "grab" this beautiful scene before it dissipated (which it did in about 10 minutes). So, I didn't set up the shot much and I know the composition could be stronger. As far as the blue in the sky, what you see here is pretty much the way it was, with the fog still around.

Thanks again for your comments!
