Dockers Delight

A relatively new feature on the Liverpool skyline, cranes on the new

container dock at Seaforth, on a day when high wind and a high tide made

for very lively conditions on the River Mersey. Shot at 0.4 seconds with a

Lee Little Stopper to capture movement in the waves.

Devoting so much space to the water movement shows your nuanced use of long exposure and makes the composition alone rate a 7 from me.  Excellent work, Jed.

The power of  the Mersey is awesome in conditions like this and you have captured it really well!  Just enough shutter delay to add a real sense of drama and movement!  I do like the B & W tones too

I agree with the other comments. The blurring of the wave action is just right. I'll have to remember that. Overall you've taken a potentially mundane subject (cranes) and turned it into a sensational image. Nice!
