Luv the arch structure and silhouette against the horizontal sea ripples under a strangely lit sky that presents a lovely contrast, Wael! ;-} dp

A beautiful and evocative image.  I stopped scrolling when I came to this.  It grabs my attention and evokes a peace that is refreshing with all there is going on in the world today.  I don't always read the bios of photographers I comment on, but I was intrigued to see your other work, so I went to your portfolio site.  You have excellent images, and the thing you wrote in your bio is exactly what I feel from your work

'I am a lot more interested in the mood and impact of a photograph'

And I also got a sense that you are sincere in wanting feedback on your images.....something I also love.  I may not always agree with the criticisms of my images, but I appreciate that someone would take time to give them.  I take criticism well and want to get better as a photographer.   You said you're in search for your 'style'.  I wouldn't worry about that if I were you.  You have a rare gift to be able to shoot any subject well.  Just go with that and you'll be fine.  I just went to photo school last summer searching for that very thing and came away realizing that not all of us have a niche or a special look to our photography, and that's okay.  :-)   And one last thing.....I hope you will become an active member here on PN.  We need more people like you!  Sorry for the long critique.....I don't usually ramble so.  :-)

I'm sorry. I have to differ. I find an awkwardness about the composition. The subject is dead center and would have been stronger off center. I'm not sure the smaller arch with the vignette corner is necessary. I would also have preferred the top of the arch not cropped out

Rajat, thanks for the compliment.

Ken, I have the same picture with one arc and the person off center. I definitely think this one is more interesting. The additional arc gives more depth and the sea is more expansive giving more room for the viewer to contemplate (through the subject in the photograph). Place your hand to cover one arc and see which is better. I prefer this version. Nevertheless thanks for your comments.

I covered one, then the other. I prefer the left arc alone with the figure. However, what you say is true about the sea's expanse. The two arcs do give the more preferable sea expanse

I saw the thumbnail of this and had to take a closer look. Beautiful. The tones really make this image. Best wishes!
