This is the 3rd of a set of three shots from Meols beach at sunset. I

was trying out my new Lee 'little stopper' 6 stop ND. I am very

pleased with the results and in the right conditions it reduces the

exposure times for long exposures markedly. Comments and advice are

welcome as always.

I prefer the six stop it lets you focus and compose whilst still slowing down the shutter speed and particularly at last light. This is a beauty, love the sand patterns and movement in the sky. I was out at Meols tonight but the tide came in rather quickly and I got a soaking crossing one of the channels.....fortunately the camera was ok : - )

Nice work Jed!

Best Regards

Thanks Alf, I'm really impressed with the 6 stop as you say being able to focus through it makes all the difference. Glad both you and your camera are OK after your soaking at Meols. I've had a similare experience myself, caught up in the photography and took my eye off the tide. I much prefer to follow the tide out if I can to avoid this happening.

Jed, a beautiful shot, well composed and great colours. love the cloud effect you got with your 6ND. Well seen and executed, best wishes William.

I think this is one of the best images by you. The 6 stop is definitely better than a 10 stop in my opinion. As you said you can see through it.

I'm going to award this image 6 marks

Enlarged it reveals its sharpness and amazing dept of field and suggests a tighter crop might make this an even more powerful image.  Great work, Jed.

Thanks Gary, you are very kind. I am really taken with the 6 stop and look forward to testing its full potential over the next few months.
