A visit to Perch Rock lighthouse and an opportunity to use my Lee

'little stopper' again, I really like this filter. Comments and advice

are welcome.

Absolutely superb!!! The low perspective, the black and white, and the menacing, blurred sky work magic! In this scene the Lighthouse gives a dual feeling of being a lonely, solitary place but at the same time, a place of refuge (at least in this sailor's psyche!)

I think the B & W conversion works well here with the cloud movement and partially submerged rocks. Excellent composition!

Warren, thanks for the kind comments, great when received from someone who spends a lot of time in this environment.

Alf, thanks for the positive feedback. I have done a few b&w conversions lately as there has been very little evening colour but plenty of cloud and tide movement.

This is a great image! I really like the sky and lighthouse with the rocks in the ocean. B&W conversion is perfect to. Only nit-pick is I might loose the very bottom of the image since it just looks out of focus while the other parts are in perfect focus. Kind of distracting IMHO.
