frigo 4,155 Posted December 30, 2013 B/W,the old city gate as background and the waiting horse and buggy make for a timeless scene .The snow just enhances the feeling of the Holidays season in this most excellent image.Bravo again for this and your other Québec under the snow images.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted December 30, 2013 Good atmosphere and choice of subject. A wider angle with horse and carriage bigger would have had even more power and effect. I like it however. Bonne chance, gs Link to comment
hondo 0 Posted December 30, 2013 Gaetan, this is what I miss so much. The old city, the food, the wine. And my favourite the people. Great Shot.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.May 2014 be healthy, happy and prosporous for you and your family.Leon Desrocher Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted December 30, 2013 Thank Gerry for nice information. Yes having a wide angle lens will have given a different mood, but I was limited with my old Nikon Coolpix 995 which is only a 3 MP camera. Also taking that kind of shot with expansive equipment is risky because cold and snow does not mix well with digital equipments. Many times I have to shoot with an umbrella or protect my camera otherwise. Link to comment

trisha jean-angela 5 Posted January 24, 2015 Wonderful capture of this charming scene. I do not know of many places that have horse-drawn carriage rides aside from Central Park and Galveston, Texas but those two places do not get the temperatures your part of the world gets so I am surprised the horses are out in that severe cold. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
