It takes a certain "vision" to identify the potential of an element within the landscape like this, and a great deal of expertise to capture the long exposure perfectly, you have done both of these things.  I would ideally have liked a bit more space around the plateau of rock, but maybe that just wasn't possible. In any case it doesn't detract form its aesthetic appeal.

Nice image. I like the pastel colors and the diffused light. The slow shutter speed makes the water look like a cloud and the rock seems to float on it, quite an interesting effect. I do agree with Alf though that more room on each side of the stone would have given a sense of space, but it still is a wonderful image as it is. Regards - michel

I agree that a bit more space around the rock would be ideal. Unfortunately I don't have a lens wider than 16mm and am not able to back up any further without introducing other distractions into the frame. This rock is actually very large. Next time I would like to include a person or something in the frame to give a sense of scale. It is probably 30-40 ft across. Cheers, -Maran

Beautiful color, excellent long exposure, but I have a problem with the composition. It is to tight. You put it down at the middle of this stone /rock platform in the water. I would get more of the ocean and placed the stone / rocks at the 1/3 of the composition, leaving some place at left or right. IMHO.

Cheers.
