Jay, thanks for the visit! The one thing that this downtown has going for it (photographically) is the presence of a lot of bridges. Unfortunately,as is true in many US cities in the Rust Belt, many of them are in such bad shape that one is afraid to travel over them. Regards.

Yup, the walker really helps to steady the camera for these long exposures. It's a good thing they at least let me out of the "home" every other Sunday (unlike you, Ken) or I would miss these...;0)

Thanks for stopping by! Regards.

When I grow up and have made tons of money ;-) I will buy several WJT prints to put up in my house :)

Superlative as ever, Walt. Your work is always eye candy, and boy do I have a sweet tooth! :)

You guys are making me blush like the sunset (but I luv it).

Ivana darling, you're most welcome as always. Mark, I'll give you a special deal but you better hurry. If you believe Ken "Cowboy" Williams I have one foot in the grave already, and prices rise posthumously.

Best regards to you both!

I love the way the streetlight recede and the colour of the sky you have captured so well

Thanks Bill, I have to admit that I was pleased with the way this one came out. Given the chance, I may have done a couple of things differently, but I basically like this. I printed a 16x20 and matted with black suede under TruVue AR museum glass; looks good on the wall! Regards.

Great composition and light using.

Moreover,I want to express my higest respect for the film user.

May I ask in what way you scan it?

Regards

Hi Chien...thank you for the visit and the compliment. I scan the majority of my work with a Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro dedicated film scanner. It will accept film up to 6x9 cm and has an anti-newton ring glass carrier. It also can use a glassless carrier but I prefer the former because it offers superior film flatness.  Max resolution for 6x7 is 4800ppi.  I use the Minolta scan software that was supplied with the unit. Unfortunately, Minolta no longer produces this excellent scanner.

By the way, I took a look at your portfolio; very beautiful work! Regards.

Walter, I usually go through most of the portfolios fairly quickly, but my browser window is stuck on your page for looooong! Just could not decide on photo to comment on and what to say... True beauty in photos. And thank you for finding time to rate my photo.

Brilliant photograph. The cold colours of the lantern lights and the warm colours of the sunset form a great harmonious combination.
