Interesting story told with a good sense of humour. The composition looks simple or even humble and is perfectly subordinate to the topic. The body of the van holds everything together here. Intelligent work Ton, congratulations and best regards -wm

Wieslaw has pretty well said what there is to say. An excellent photo with comic overtones and two very well matched protagonists.

Interesting framing, and the dog and the man have similar bushy white hair on their faces. A lighthearted photo, but the hanging shirt hints that maybe this is their home? which sobers the feeling a bit. A great story and photograph!

This lends credence to that old cliche about pet owners growing to look like their pets.

Nice one Ton.

I've been around enough scruffy-looking dog owners to know that things aren't always what they seem. But this provides for so many narrative possibilities that it's irresistible. So many curiosities... I don't think that man would fit in that garment. One glove? And, I think I see another leg (with shoe attached) in the van. One could get an entire Dickens novel out of this shot, Ton. Wonderful!

More than happenstance, this was meant to be. And you were there.

Another fantastic gem in your portfolio.

Hi Ton,

what to say? they said it already. I will just add that this is another example of how sometimes a good image and a great image are divided by something that cannot be controlled, and perhaps you don't even think about when shooting: for me in this case it is that shirt. Take it away, and the photo loses something, it is just good, because the dog and the owner are funny. Like this, it is great. Well done!

here is my idea - photo.net should put together a book of cca 50-100 street photo. this one must be there.
