exp.
Someone told me that you cannot use any infrared film with Minolta Maxxum 7. Can this be true, and if so, why not? What may the consequences of doing so? Thanks to ALL!
black_bloke
I've got the Maxxum 5 so I don't know exactly about the 7, but what I've heard sounds the same for all Maxxum cameras. 2 main reasons I've heard: 1) There's a window to the film, you know so you can tell what the film is. The light let in would affect infrared film, or so I hear. 2) The more likely reason. The Maxxum cameras use an infrared counter for moving the frames ahead. So the counter fogs up all the IR film. Hope that helps.
frank.schifano
You might want to post this in the Minolta forum. It's likely you'll get more feedback there.
