Allen Herbert
I like it. Lots of tonal quality, and a very interesting photo. Thanks. What scanner are you using?
malcolm_rains
Thanks Allen. Its an Epson 3200 & the film was scanned as a colour neg & converted to B&W.
SolaresLarrave
Neat, crisp sharpness, Malcolm. I only find that you could crop just a bit of the negative space below so it's not as large.
Allen Herbert
Yes, a crop would be helpful. Most photos around here are as flat as a pancake. Tonal quality is a mystery to most. However, it's the photo which counts...a bit of quality does help. Sort of two steps further. Can make or break.
kent_tolley2
I think the beautiful tonal quality so evident in this photo is at least partly because of the great light coming from the other side of the window thru the diffusing plastic. Pure Vermeer. Of course the exposure is right on and that is also to the credit of the photog and camera. I myself am new to Leica metering but I am more than pleased with the number of good exposures. I wonder how this was metered. And as Malcolm says that 400 CN film scans well. Congratulations. skeeter
agree. very nice range of tones and i can't imagine more perfect exposure. i like the t400cn as well. for 400 speed it has extremely fine grain.
djl251
I like the image very much. I don't know if it's the film or the lens or both. Its a great combination.

johnmarkpainter
I always hold my breath a bit when I see a subject line like yours!! But great shot. I think the framing is perfect. Nothing at all wrong with some dead space...especially with cool shadows. jmp

chip l.
I am impressed with the quality of the 3200 for negative scanning. This shows some that flatbed scanners can compete...
