marc_schmidtmayer
Hi, I bought Atomal FF and this because I wanted to try this developer. But I can't find a lot of info about developing times. Can anyone help me ? www.digitaltruth.com lists (only) Atomal but not Atomal FF (and only for a few films). Is there a difference between them ? Has anyone experience with this developer ? Thanks, Marc.
john_stockdale2
There is a pdf file or two on Agfa's web site in which dev times are listed for all their film developers with Agfa and other films. Go to www.agfa.com then Photography > Professional if I remember correctly. The latest version of C-SW16-E16.pdf seems to have disappeared, perhaps due to several very bad typographical errors. The previous version is back (-E15). It should be the same except for the new version of APX400. It gives "very fine grain" at the expense of film speed. Might be good diluted, since the stock has quite a high capacity. I have never understood the difference between Atomal and Atomal FF. Let us know how you go. I'm curious. marc_schmidtmayer
Hi John, Thanks for your help ! Just printed the pdf from Agfa's site ... that was what I was looking for ... Thanks again, Marc.
john_stockdale2
One point worth making Marc. The Agfa times are for a slightly higher contrast than most people like. Many (not all) people reduce the times a bit to get back to a gentler contrast. But it depends on what you like.
