jason michael
I am interested in making reverse images in black and white and have come up with a (potentially) novel idea. I am planning on shooting a roll of AGFA Scala, having one of the Scala labs develop the negatives and then bringing the negatives to a traditional darkroom to be printed. My question is does anyone have any experience with this? Cheers,
joe_symchyshyn
I've used scala slides to make enlarged negatives for platinum printing with good success. As for the reverse printing idea... An easier way might be to make a paper negative and use it. (Cheaper too) Take a normal negative, enlarge it onto rc glossy paper. Now use this new "negative" to contact print onto your new paper to get a reverse print. It's cheaper and you can fuss all you want with dodging, burning etc while making the new "neg". Remember to reverse the image because you'll flip the paper over to go emulsion to emulsion.
dan_smith
Try printing Scala on Ilfochrome Classic. A really good looking combination.
