prsman23
Was wondering if anyone else has pushed Agfa's APX 100 if so what changes can I expect in Developing times for each stop that it's pushed. I've looked on google a bit without much avail. Many thanks, J
kng
Once I forgot I had a polarizer filter on the lens, and basically shot a whole roll 2 stops underexposed - 400iso. I was a little dismayed but I developed in Rodinal 1+25 (i know, not the best in this situation and not the best dilution, but it was my first time with rodinal) and pushed two stops (approx 14-15 mins at 20C). I was actually quite pleased with the tonality I got, but you should expect blown highlights and little shadow detail (i.e., lots of dodging/burning in the darkroom...) archie_alcantara1
I have pushed agfa 100 to 200/250 using diafine developer and very happy with results. search the archives for diafine developer and there are interesting information about this developer. barry_kenstler
Ditto on the Diafine. APX is fine film but it's not the best film to push, and comes up shy of 100 in most developers. You can get very usable negatives through 250 with Diafine. The 250-320 rating claimed by the developer's maker is a bit optimistic.
andrew_hull
APX 100 in Diafine at 200 is a very nice combination.
