Film camera week for November 10

Recommended Posts

In the fine tradition of @Mike Gammill and celebrating that our admin fixed the website, we shall have another week of photo sharing.

Here are a few photos of classic cameras, taken by a new-to-me 100+ year old classic lens. Linhof Tech V, Dagor 180/6.8, Kodak TXP 320, F76+ 1+9.

With a voigtlander prominent and 100mm dynaron (the dynaron was a 'gift' from an epreyer off whom I bought a 35mm lens.  The 100mm lens had some fungus and the start of separation in the front lens cluster.  The fungus cleaned off ok). I'll post shots of the camera soon.  HP5 developed in Ilfosol 3, yellow filter on the lens.  I wished the prominent had an EVF with focus peaking to make up for my failing eyesight.  Regards, Arthur (apiarist1).

Here's some photos. Canon L1 rangefinder, Canon 50 mm/f2.8 lens. Fujicolor 400 film, Gossen Luna-Pro F meter. Chattanooga, TN (Mural on McCallie Ave.), and Lookout Mountain, TN/GA (Atop the Incline Railway). I shot both photos at f/5.6/1/125 second.

Relieved to see the site back up and running... read some not very flattering remarks when googling...last legs etc.
This week I am usiing my Ikona 524-2. I got this a few years back from the "Ebay Classified" .. it was a lousy pciture--  not tested etc... I noticed it was the uncoupled RF model, despite the lousy pic... if you know what to look for 😉! I remember offering the selling price ...as delivered! Voila .. a new camera for me ! There was a blob of fungus direct in the center of the front lens... when looking head on- you didn't see it. So after shooting a rolll... it was very obvious 😞 I managed to clean it relatively easily.
I am very happy with the 6x9 negs and so it rarely disappoints. I fear these were a bit underexposecd.. not enough yellow filter compensation.  This was Fomapan 100 in the usual D76 1:1

Since I never know what camera I am using...until I am using it... here is my camera porn contribution.. albeit in the wrong thread 🙂

I luckily stumbled on to this filter... and it fits perfectly!  I can close the camera with the filter on!!

We've seen this view before...now haven't we? I cross the street, walk up to the river and BOOM.. this is the view.

Beautiful clouds! The yellow filter was doing its work, but it was the photographer who captured the image.

The Novar triplet is a very decent lens at f/8 and below. Glad you could get rid of the fungus blob.

Thanks for the kind words Julio... I do feel the first two were likely underexposed... this accentuated the clouds... and my motivation to shoot them.

In the spirit of Photo.net and it's revival. And a toast to Mike Gammill, I will keep the thread moving along with some more images. These images were shot with my Canon L1 rangefinder camera, my Canon Leica Screw Mount 50 mm/f2.8 lens, on Fujicolor 400 film, metered with my Gossen Luna-Pro F meter. The first image was shot at f2.8 and 1/60 second, the second at F8/1/250 second. Enjoy! A toast to the living, a toast to loved ones in our past! The first image is a still life in my living room. The second image is a mural in Chattanooga, on McCallie Avenue. Wheelchairs, fine cameras, lenses, and fine photography and living mix well.
