Emerging shadow

Nikon FM3A, Adox HR50

Taken in one of the vintage cars hall at Sinsheim Technik Museum in Germany. The lights in the corner where this car was were not very strong. I just saw this front of the car jutting out from a corner and took the shot. The camera was on A setting, which gave me a very slow speed, but I like the way it came out.

i like it too. Even more so if the front end was subtly brought out and allowed to complete an outline... at the grill and headlamps.

I like it, but don't much like the way it is falling off the bottom- not sure why you did that? it might be improved by cropping to a panoramic aspect ratio.

I like the photo too. Good title! The photo looks a bit grainy (noise) to me. Not sure whether it's from the camera or jpeg comprossion in PP. Maybe you like it this way. If so, that's fine. I wonder how it would look with less noise.

A very interesting composition. It’s as if the vehicle is emerging from an ink waterfall. I might have liked the front of the car to be a little more exposed, but it’s still a very cool photo.

To me, it elicits a kind of unresolved feel. The lights are just being turned on in the studio and I want to see more. What is not being revealed? What is being hidden? For these reasons, I think this is a successful image.
