Pacific Grove Cleaners forced to close after 100 years of being a family owned business. They made it through the Japanese Internment camps but the Covid economy was just too much.

That's terrible, I remember them from when I took my suits there mid 60's while at the Language School. Covid yes, but I suspect a change in sumptuary preferences also.

They closed down the shortcut through the DLI because of 911, so now big traffic jams getting from Monterey to PG or back. The odd things is, more than one reliable source claims it was closed the day BEFORE 911!
