Film Camera Week for April 28

Greetings, all, and welcome to our new thread.  Post all the images you like from any film camera.  I'll  start with a few from a roll of Kentmere 100 that I processed and scanned earlier in the week.  Camera was Minolta XE-5 with 55mm f 1.7 MC Rokkor.

Old stuff. Have been going through old slides and negatives. Most here are Velvia shot with a Contax G2 and 45 F2. About 20 years ago.

A few color photos from the petite Agfa Isola with Agnar 75/6.3 triplet lens. The expired Velvia 50 was home processed in Tetenal E6; dark with strong red tint. Post correction in Lightroom.

And two more color slides from another toy camera Fujipet, with a plastic 70mm f/11 lens. Even stopped down, it is still pretty soft. So I decided to go for double exposure instead. 1993 expired Ektachrome 100x (EPZ) turns out surprisingly well in Tetenal E6 home kit.

Some pics from the Kodak doublets featured in the "What camera ..." thread.  The first three are from the Kodak Duex and shot on Arista 100.  The last is from the Jr. Six-20 and shot on Arista 400.  All we're developed in HC-110.

Fantastic Garry, I wouldn't have thought those doublets could produce good pics like those. I have incentive now to try my Kodak Jnr, it's exactly the same but 616 version, luckily I have film for it.

Thanks @kmac.  I agree the doublets are pretty good within their limited capabilities.  With the Duex, the only controls you have are selecting the speed of film to use and having a steady hand.  The Kodak technicians seemed to have optimized the focus for middle distances, say from 8 to 30 feet.  I suppose it was intended to take photos of family members posing in front of vacation points of interest.  It is not good for distant landscapes.

The Jr. Six-20 has more control over DOF and also supports a cable release so getting sharp results on a tripod is pretty easy.  I just finished going over the bellows again and plan to exercise it some more.  The shot of the gristmill was one of the few that didn't have a light leak ruining it.

Good luck with your 616 camera.  I bought some adapters on eBay to use 120 film in my 616 cameras.  It works well but you have to remember to leave a little room on the long edges when you compose your shots.  Also, depending on the camera, you may have to trim the ends of the 120 spool to keep it from binding up against the film roller.

....Return to the thrilling days of yesteryear ..
I was active last year, but just couldn't seem to find the time to post.. I have not been very active this year as the weather always sucks and I tend to procrastinate. So, like last week I am lumping two cameras and two rolls.  The FX3 2000 was a good deal it may have come with a 28mm ML . My advance lever feels like a loose tooth ready to fall off, but does the job all the same. The Contax RTS  is still on my bucket list. Although I have one... it has a problem, it's not insurmountable, but critical. The film advance often skips and trips the shutter. (Long history story ... I'll spare you 🙂 ) I do like the auto metering.. I chose to present these two as they are very similar in finction/layout (and may be using the same 24mm Soligor c/D .. I don't remember)  but both were "wides" and had yellow filters. I apologize again for sloppy handling and dirty negatives etc ...Sometimes you're your own worst enemy!!  APX100 in D76 1:1

 

You get what you pay for: It can be used, but with attention

MAjor Department Store Reference to the "Kö" is the location on Königs Allee (King Street)  Very funny story why this is called King Street

 

Dreischeiben Haus (Sandwhich Haus)  As this dominates the Skyline, I have frequenty (understatment) phtotographed this from many different angles.
