I’m curious as to your choices of, and preferences for, variius 16mm B/W film stocks. Tried & true old Kodak stuff (7266 Tri-X rev., 7222 Double-X neg).? Or maybe fresh new Sonic 25 or Yeti versions from FPP? Thoughs? I’m working towards interiors/lower light uses.

When I shot 16 mm film decades ago, I always shot reversal film and used Kodak Plus-X for exteriors and Kodak 4-X for interiors with good results.  Reversal films were more demanding of perfect exposure but were also a bit less grainy and could be edited directly without having to make a work print.  If you're planning to go to release prints with a sound track there would be advantages to shooting negative film, and I expect that lab services that were routinely available when I was using this (1970's) are hard to find now.  The equipment photos bring back some memories for me--I used to own a Bolex 16 mm reflex with a set of 3 Berthiot lenses.

Well the end product was Schmalfilm (8mm), but it was the popular pride of Dresden in the Workers' and Peasants' state. I've never tried to have the film developed as I'm nearly sure this one has been opened about a 1000 times.

A couple months ago, I picked up some Double perf 16mm B&W Reversal film from film photography project (https://filmphotographystore.com/collections/movie-film/products/16mm-film-double-perf-cine16-bw-reversal-100-iso-100-ft) to use in my Kodak Model E 16mm movie camera. It's the first roll of film I put through it so am anxious to see how it turns out.
