mjferron
Off topic for Rick. A while back I investigated old English. It is pretty much unrecognizable in writing and in sound. Then I checked out Middle English and it not a whole lot better. Closer to old German than modern English it seems.

gary green
@James Bryant According to information I've found on the web, it's an achromat (single cemented pair) lens. I also have the Zeiss 54/2 6x9 model but the image quality from the earlier Goerz version is much better. Because the negatives are so big, a lot of detail gets lost when the image is downsized for uploading to PN. Here's a crop from the full-size scan to show how the lens performs. Also, this is a handheld shot at 1/50 shutter speed. Edited December 1, 2022 by gary green

Ricochetrider
4 shots from my 1930s Voigtlander Bessa with th e Anistigmat Voigtar lens on Porta 160. I struggle with framing & with the zone focus but do occasionally get everything just right - or close enough. The top shot of the motorcycle was cropped slightly.
bruce_z._li2
Went to a tiny fairy garden with family during the weekend. One roll of Arista EDU Ultra 100 in Rolleiflex 3.5F with Planar 75/3.5 lens. Souped in Ilford DD-X 1+4 (plus 2.5ML of Rodinal) for 8min at 68F. Encouraged by fellow Photo.netters here, I also gravitated towards Arista EDU Ultra 100 as my everyday go to film. It is cheap to buy, easy to process with developers, and producing old school excellent results. I just got a bottle of Arista Premium B&W developer (rebadged Clayton F76+), and will try it out with the Arista.Little fairy of the garden Bird houses Girl sculpture in the shade
bruce_z._li2
@gary green Hi Gary, I was also quite amazed at the quality produced by the Box-Tengor! When you said that was one of your favorite cameras in the other thread, I thought it was in a "Lomography" sense. But apparently this is no LoFi.

One thing I like about shooting with this camera is that it easily exceeds the low expectations people have with box cameras in general. I also appreciate only having to think about one setting (the aperture) when using it handheld.
gary green
@rick_drawbridge Nice shots from the T90, Rick. My first SLR was a T50 that my wife bought me for Xmas back in the mid-80s. Being a tinkerer at heart, I quickly grew tired of the lack of manual controls (other than focusing) and lusted for the T90. However, having just started my career, and with two kids, a mortgage, and car payments, I couldn't justify the cost. I eventually traded the T50 for a nice AL-1 that let me have more control. Your T90 appears to be chugging along nicely. Maybe I should have taken the plunge back then ... Hope Santa brings you the Jaguar.

The Canon T90 is my favourite manual focus 35mm camera, a landmark that set the pattern for Canon cameras right through to todays DSLRs. As for Santa fronting up with the Jaguar, I'm not all that hopeful...
rick_drawbridge
Lovely work from the Mamiya C330, mjferron. The combination of the Pan F, the soft light and that great 55mm lens has produced superb quality images, quite apart from some fine input on the part of the photographer! mjferron
Thank you Rick. I may attempt a darkroom print with the first shot. I found that my W2D2+ Mixed 1-1-100 helps tame what can be a high contrast film.
za33photo
Some of the very first pictures out of my Zorki 4 fitted with a Jupiter 8 lens. Film was Ilford Delta 400 processed and scanned by the local Photo Lab. No exposure details as I lost my notes 🥺. Can anyone see any possible Camera faults that will still have to be fixed ?. Thanks.
