Quite true, and the newer replacement parliamentary building was also designed by an American firm, Philadelphia-based Mitchell/Giurgola & Thorp Architects, setting a long term tone that anything Aussie is just not good enough.

Designed with uncertain times in mind - "Underground Bunker" concept ....

Foyer of the National Museum, Canberra, taken quite some years ago - Minolta 7s, I still have that 7s, but it's simply too worn to keep using it. It's amazing how the light meter never faulted, it never failed me right up till 2012 when i decided to put the camera out to pasture.
