Leslie Reid
You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. I puzzled over this one for quite a while--I couldn't decide whether to lop off about a third of the frame on the right and bring it up just a bit from the bottom. It would have made a very vertical format, which I liked; but it would have left two unattached peninsulas of rock on the right, which I didn't like, and I would have lost the shadowy island in the upper right.
Laura Weishaupt
One beach got fogged in so we went to Chetco Point. The sun dipped below incoming fog and we thought it was time to go. On the way out a small hole opened, then got larger and eventually we had a very nice sunset.

Glenn McCreery
I was driving through Swan Valley, Idaho, this Sunday, when I noticed an approaching storm. Rather than keep driving to outrun the storm, I drove up a dirt road that overlooks the valley to photograph it. The rest of my hour long drive was in pouring rain. Rick Bortnick
I think you hit the new Grove of Titans trail the first day it was open! Well... now that you mention it, yes. I was the fourth person in after the dedication. Long story ... a birthday ... all morning detour ... great Park Rangers ... two gentlemen from Germany... We'll fill you in later

Allen Herbert
"Allen, what is that?" Ludmilla Ludmilla, what is that? I have not got a clue. Hence, the curiosity, of why I took the photo.
