FS: Canon P with Industar 55mm f/2.8 and Canon 100mm 3.5

For Sale is a Canon P 35mm rangefinder camera with a 55mm f/2.8 Industar 61 lens in user shape. The camera is in good condition, it does have marks and a scrap from the rewind lever on the top plate. The shutter operates at all speeds except 1 sec (in cold weather). Not sure of the accuracy of the speeds. The self-timer does not work, it buzzes down but does not trip the shutter. The rangefinder patch is bright and in alignment. The viewfinder is clear and all 3 frame lines are intact and bright. The wind is smooth but does have a faint squeak when wound. The shutter curtains do have wrinkles but works correctly. The Industar 61 lens is in quite good shape, clear glass, lovely coatings. The iris does have a bit of oil on the blades but has not caused any problems with closing down. The focus feels a little dry but smooth, like many I-61’s, this one rattles, it has always given me crisp images. The Canon 100mm f/3.5 lens is a paper weight, many scratches to the front element and this one suffers from the dreaded middle element corrosion. It is soft focus and is very, very low contrast.

If anybody is interested in the 100mm f3.5 lens, I have one that is as-new. Absolutely pristine with the original red velour lined box with caps, case, and finder. The case is in its original box, also. It even has the packet of Canon silica gel that came with it. It's a real beauty. I'm asking $175 plus shipping. This is far less than I paid for it 10-12 years ago.
