Vincent Peri
Bradlley, that shot of the mongolian girl is superb. Rick, thank you. 'Don't know if you've tried other short zooms, but I'm underwhelmed by my 28-70 3.5-4.5. It won't hold a candle to my cheap Quantaray 70-200. Something crisp in the 24-80mm range would be handy. If you know of any winners there, pls. let me know. I'm using an old Fe2. I don't know if the range isn't long enough for you, but the Nikkor 25-50mm lens is highly regarded. Pinklather
Gents, thank You! I'll have to note that Vivitar & Tamron & mount a search. I actually chose the Quantaray over the hallowed Nikkor after shooting a short roll - 1/2 w/ each lens. It was that the quantaray was more value - it gave better clarity. That short zoom range has been very useful for walking around the town.
Mike Gammill
Many of the Quantaray lenses were made by Sigma, which is good, of course. I had a Quantaray 28-90 in Maxxum mount that I gave (along with a Maxxum 4) to a former student who took my photography class and loved film. rick_drawbridge
My weekend's almost over and there are a few wet days ahead, so these will be my last for this week. These are a few samples from a Praktica BX-20 with a 35-70mm Pentacon Prakticar f/3.5-4.5 lens. The film was Kentmere 100 developed in PMK Pyro. chuck_foreman1
I am not happy with these scans but I haven'T contributed in a while so in the interests of wanting to contribute here are some stuff I made on both Modern and classic Film cameras. The Modern classic is a Nikon F301(2002) with a 28mm Kiron lens and the other camera was a Yashica FX2 using a mini ML Zoom that Matt Currie so generously gave me. OOpps The Nikon roll isn't scanned... so the ensuing pics are from the FX2 Düsseldorf Graf Adolf Platz Düsseldorf End of Kö - The Bowler Düsseldorf - End of the Kö

Don Harpold
Hello all Here are a couple from the past week Shot on the Konica Auto S2 expired PanF 50 developed in PyrocatHD, I shot half the roll at 25 and the other half at 50. I developed 14 mins. I am not real happy with them the ones at 25 are better than the ones at 50 which are way too dark. I think I read that the Pyro needs to be shot at one stop over, so maybe that was the problem, or the expired film, I think I will stick to fresh film.
