Srt101 problem

Yesterday while busy someone decided to mess with my

Srt101. Normally that is no problem but in this case they

unscrewed the rewind knob and pushed the shaft out the

bottom. Not only does it appear there is a spring end or

something blocking the shaft. But I believe they may

have not thought it through and they placed the shaft in

the film compartment and closed the film door... I have

no clue what to do on this one.

<p>Bela, the clue is in the thread name - Sony/Minolta SLR - in fact, it's a Minolta SLR. They are so cheap that it's way less expensive to buy another one rather than have one fixed.</p>

Mine is a near mint condition. And I fixed it with a paper

clip and a piece of sand paper.

I did not realise you had professional tools available :-) - well done! Even so, these excellent cameras are selling on e-bay for peanuts - the 50mm f1.4 lens seems to be the only item that achieves a higher price. </p>

<p>Love those older gems....actually repairable, although my 101 gave up the ghost earlier this year and I sold it for parts.</p>

i like minolta, but did not get involved with a 4th lens mount.<br>

browsing the big bay site, I see lots of Minolta cameras of that era.<br>

I did "study" the brand enough to know the difference so the full apeture<br>

lenses would be my first choice if i were buying a minolta.<br>

i see lots of minoltas. and you should be able to get another for a low price,<br>

i, of course, would try hard to repair the screwed up camera.<br>

it would really botherme to have an almost working camera.<br>

enjoy film photography.<br>
