I went out to shoot some macro in a local out of the way wooded area and instead found a young photographer and friend of his pulling up at the same time. We talked photography and cameras a while (including his hacked Canon DSLR) before they invited me to go shoot with them. All I had on me was the little Tessar lensed Yashica ML Macro 55/4 mounted on my NEX 7/speedbooster combo (I was there to shoot bugs after all). I just had to make do with what I had.

Nice bird pics Randy, and David, nice "making do" with what you had - I'll take up the rear and vote for your third shot. :)

Mine this week are more from the very capable Vectis S-1, this time wandering around Iowa City, taking in the artwork.

00blc0-540947584.jpg.9212ee39dfd80b460209dd270e146d24.jpg

I like the varied pictures we get from such a diverse range of cameras under the 'Sony/Minolta' label - an excellent crop this week.

First off, here's a close up of the basic workings of a 25-pounder field gun, at the National War Museum of Scotland, in Edinburgh (NEX-7 and Sigma E 30mm f/2.8)

Then two pictures taken with a Minolta XE-1, MD Rokkor 50mm f/1.4, and Kodak Gold Ultra 400 dated Oct-1997, rated at ISO 200, and developed in Ilford Microphen
