Richard Williams
Minor changes for most of us, but Capture NX-D 1.4.1, ViewNX-i 1.2.1 and the combined package version 1.16.020 were released on 9th May:
http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/update/index/2016.html
ussorca
Richard et al, I'm a very basic picture taker who uses a Nikon D90, shoots in JPEG, and uses Picasa for a little post processing of 300 to 400 pictures per year. Would either Capture or View be of any use to me? Would appreciate your input.
Richard Williams
I'd say they wouldn't be that useful unless you plan on experimenting with raw shooting, in which case they can give you excellent conversions. However, since Picasa is no longer supported you might want to think about alternatives for the future. Here are some free post-processing packages that could be worth considering:
http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pixelbasedwin/tp/freephotoedw.htm
Most of these will let you do a lot more with jpegs than Nikon's own software.
ussorca
Thanks Richard. No plans to go RAW so will look at the options to replace Picasa.
