Stripping exif data in PSE14

Recommended Posts

After editing my photos in PSE14 I use the "Save As" function to save them (as JPEG's) to a folder on my desktop. Doing this strips out most, but not all of the exif data. I would like the complete exif data saved to the JPEG. Why doesn't it save all the exif data? Am I doing something wrong?

Interesting question.

Note that in some cases the EXIF data isn't appropriate (true) after editing. Does an edited picture still have a shutter speed or lens focal length? Should the focal length change when you crop?

I suppose the date and time should be original, but some might like to have the editing date and time, too. The longitude/latitude should stay the same.

I suppose if you don't do any editing, just load and save, most might still be right.

After editing in PSE14 the JPEG's contain file name and size, camera model, shooting date,TV, AV, exposure comp., ISO, and Image size while the same Raw file contains that and MUCH more. This is when viewing the files in DPP. I thought all the exif data was preserved when editing. I'm wondering if something is turned off somewhere.
