steve_d6
I always write down the camera model and the film used. If I have more than one model (yes I do) I'll note the serial number too. I'll then take a pic of the written note.
So many times months or years later I'll wonder what camera and film gave me the results. There it is.......right with the other shots. Jochen_S
Would you "notch code" bigger cameras instead? - i.e. file different notch patterns into their film pressure windows to identify them or the faulty one later?
steve_d6
I suppose such a system would work but I have become familiar with my procedure. I don't really know how I'd even go about notch coding any particular camera. A shot of a piece of paper seems to keep me straight. Aoresteen
I notch most of my cameras. My Leicas I have notched when they are sent in for the first service.

It's a good idea to take a picture as you do with film & camera into. I'd add the date and place as well.
