How to sell Bronica GS-1, bundled or individually?

Hi folks,

I recently inherited a large collection of photo gear, including quite a bit of medium format equipment. I've been selling some of the Bronica ETRSi stuff individually on eBay since the 645 format ETR/ETRS/ETRSi stuff was pretty common. It's easy to find recent sales of individual pieces of ETRSi format gear.

That brings me to my next question. I have a huge GS-1 collection (see below). Would it be worthwhile to sell it piecemeal of as a big complete kit? Most pieces have original boxes/cases and are free of scratches or other signs of use except for dust. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think I'd make one try to sell the complete package for the reason mentioned above. If it failed to sell, I'd immediately sell the pieces individually, as there would potentially be many more interested parties who want to augment their current holdings.

Having sold an equivalent Bronica outfit, I think you'll get more selling separately. Sure it's more work. Kits are harder to

get good value for, because you're excluding most people who don't want everything you've got, people unable to spend

a lot of money etc. the market for a kit as comprehensive as yours is very small

Del, are you not interested in using the camera equipment you inherited? It sounds like some nice gear that someone in your family cared for.

But then again, you might not have been on good terms with whomever they were and will be glad to the haunted stuff out of the way! That being the case, everybody get their sage ready for smudging!

It's 2015 and no one's likely to pop for a pricey film kit, no matter how complete and pretty it is. The GS-1 system was never a big seller. There are crazed fans of the system who will pay $$$ for bits they don't they don't have, especially in mint condition. You can try a kit approach but I suspect you'll actually move it faster with a better return on a piece basis.

Having dealt with sales and purchases of camera equipment over the last 15 years on ebay....you will get a lot more money selling individually than as a kit. No doubt about this.....the difference is huge ( 2X-3X) ! It may be a pain to do this, but you will be several hundred dollars richer at the end.
