How Y'all.

Sometimes you make due with the equipment you have.

I was out to try and photograph some late migrants birds. I had a macro with me, a wide angle lens, and the 600mm. But on my hike in For Harrison State Park near Indianapolis I became fascinated by reflections in a small pond. So the 600 switched duties from a bird-chaser to a reflection-catcher.
All taken with a K3 +600mm f5.6

Hi All,
We spent a week in Cambodia -- came back today and still rummaging through the SD cards for keepers. These 3 photos are from the trip (all using K-50 and Tamron 28-75).

Good stuff!
.
Here's some of the first snow of the season from last week from my office roof.
I visited my parents in Michigan over the weekend (plus a couple of days). Color is still hanging on there but is past peak in a lot of places. I used the wireless transfer to my phone a little more it was actually kind of cool. I didn't bring a laptop and it allowed me to post some photos on social media. I shot RAW+ and just grabbed jpegs. It's still kind of klunky in some ways but it works and can be handy.

Nice colors, Matt! I'll add some more below. I know what you mean about the wifi transfer, I've used a FluCard with my new K3 and it is a clunky process but nice for immediate sharing via social media.

Speaking of the K3, I love it. At first I had some adjustment to the buttons, and I still don't have everything perfectly fine-tuned, but it is one hell of a camera. Definite step up from a K5 in some way I can't quite articulate.
Javier, good to see you back! Nice slices of LA, as always. Dorus, that water droplet is a remarkable image.

I recently swapped my DA70 for an FA77, and feel it was a good choice for me. I never connected with the former lens, and the latter really sparkles. Here's a candid of my daughter with no PP, just nice light in the cafe.

00dYfy-559005784.JPG.4d70e2b1722be8330b37c40646954a7c.JPG

I just set up a trade with a guy on PentaxForums to get a 77 for a 70 plus some cash. I like the 70 but I'm intrigued by the 77 and this seems like a good way to get into one without having to flip the 70 first.
Dorus, there may be another one in the for sale section over there.
